Durum polise bildirilirken, olay yerinde g\u00fcvenlik \u00f6nlemleri alan olay yeri inceleme ekipleri b\u00f6lgedeki \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmalara ba\u015flad\u0131. \u0130\u00e7inde birden fazla kemik bulunan alanda yap\u0131lan kaz\u0131 geni\u015fletildi. Kemiklerin yakla\u015f\u0131k 80-90 y\u0131l \u00f6ncesine ait oldu\u011fu de\u011ferlendirilirken, m\u00fcze yetkililerine haber verildi. Burdur\u2019daki eski M\u00fcsl\u00fcman mezarl\u0131klar\u0131 \u015fehir d\u0131\u015f\u0131nda oldu\u011fundan b\u00f6lgenin eski bir Rum veya Ermeni mezarl\u0131\u011f\u0131 olabilece\u011fi \u00f6ng\u00f6r\u00fcl\u00fcyor.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cRum mezarl\u0131\u011f\u0131 olabilir\u201d<br \/>\n<br \/>Konuyla ilgili de\u011ferlendirmede bulunan emekli \u00f6\u011fretmen ve eski Burdur Belediye Ba\u015fkan\u0131 Sebahattin Akkaya, Burdur\u2019un k\u00fclt\u00fcrel varl\u0131klar\u0131 \u00fczerine uzun y\u0131llard\u0131r ara\u015ft\u0131rmalar yapt\u0131\u011f\u0131n\u0131, \u00f6zellikle \u015fehirdeki gayrim\u00fcslimlerin tarihini inceledi\u011fini belirterek, &#8220;Ben, Burdur\u2019un k\u00fclt\u00fcrel varl\u0131klar\u0131 \u00fczerine bir \u00e7al\u0131\u015fma ba\u015flatm\u0131\u015ft\u0131m. Burdur\u2019da gayrim\u00fcslimler de ya\u015f\u0131yordu, \u00f6zellikle m\u00fcbadeleye kadar Rumlar ve Ermeniler de burada bulunuyordu. Mezarl\u0131klar konusunu ele al\u0131rken M\u00fcsl\u00fcman mezarl\u0131klar\u0131n\u0131n yerleri belli olsa da, Rumlara ait mezarl\u0131\u011f\u0131n yerini bilmiyordum. Fakat birka\u00e7 ya\u015fl\u0131 ki\u015fiden, Tar\u0131m \u0130l M\u00fcd\u00fcrl\u00fc\u011f\u00fc\u2019n\u00fcn kuzeybat\u0131 istikametinde bir yerin olabilece\u011fini duymu\u015ftum. Bug\u00fcn \u00f6\u011fretmenevi bah\u00e7esinde yap\u0131lan kaz\u0131da insan kemiklerinin \u00e7\u0131kmas\u0131 bu tezi kuvvetlendirdi. \u00c7\u00fcnk\u00fc buras\u0131 Rumlar\u0131n ya\u015fad\u0131\u011f\u0131 Zafer Mahallesi\u2019ne olduk\u00e7a yak\u0131n bir yer&#8221; dedi.<br \/>\n<br \/>Akkaya, Burdur\u2019daki Rum n\u00fcfusunun 300-500 hane aras\u0131nda oldu\u011funu ve 1920 y\u0131l\u0131na kadar Burdur\u2019da ya\u015fad\u0131klar\u0131n\u0131 belirtti. \u00d6\u011fretmenevi\u2019nin de Zafer Mahallesi\u2019nin kuzeyinde oldu\u011funu ifade eden Akkaya, &#8220;Kaz\u0131larda \u00e7\u0131kan kemikler, bu b\u00f6lgedeki Rum mezarl\u0131\u011f\u0131na ait oldu\u011funu g\u00f6steriyor&#8221; dedi.<br \/>\n<br \/>Akkaya, &#8220;T\u00fcrkler, Burdur\u2019a 1100\u2019l\u00fc y\u0131llar\u0131n sonunda gelmeye ba\u015flam\u0131\u015flar ve o d\u00f6nemde Burdur\u2019da Rumlar ya\u015f\u0131yordu. 1920\u2019lere kadar buradalar. Ancak 1922\u2019deki m\u00fcbadele s\u0131ras\u0131nda buradaki Rumlar Yunanistan\u2019a gitmek zorunda kald\u0131. Yunanistan\u2019daki soyda\u015flar\u0131m\u0131z da Burdur\u2019a geldi ve o d\u00f6nemdeki Rumlardan kalan evler onlara verildi&#8221; diye konu\u015ftu.<br \/>\n<br \/>Akkaya, daha \u00f6nce sadece bir duyumla bu mezarl\u0131\u011f\u0131n varl\u0131\u011f\u0131ndan haberdar olduklar\u0131n\u0131 ifade ederek, &#8220;Bug\u00fcn \u00f6\u011fretmenevi bah\u00e7esinde yap\u0131lan kaz\u0131, bu tarihi tezi ortaya \u00e7\u0131karm\u0131\u015f oldu.
