63 ya\u015f\u0131ndaki Akt\u00fcrk, kamu kurumundaki g\u00f6revinden sonra 2006 y\u0131l\u0131nda \u0130l Milli E\u011fitim M\u00fcd\u00fcrl\u00fc\u011f\u00fcne ge\u00e7erek k\u00fct\u00fcphaneci olarak \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmaya ba\u015flad\u0131. Emekli olmas\u0131na ra\u011fmen mesle\u011fine olan ba\u011fl\u0131l\u0131\u011f\u0131yla dikkat \u00e7eken Akt\u00fcrk, 2008 y\u0131l\u0131ndan bu yana T\u00fcrkiye genelinde k\u00fct\u00fcphanesi olmayan okullar\u0131 tespit ederek hay\u0131rseverlerden toplad\u0131\u011f\u0131 kitaplarla 308 okul k\u00fct\u00fcphanesinin kurulmas\u0131na \u00f6nc\u00fcl\u00fck etti. Akt\u00fcrk, son olarak Kay\u0131 Obas\u0131\u2019na kazand\u0131rd\u0131\u011f\u0131 309\u2019uncu k\u00fct\u00fcphane ile \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmalar\u0131na devam ediyor.
